Diving in Roatan
Lying between 30 miles of high-powered reefs along the nothern and southern coasts, Roatan provides a perfect haven for divers. The northern part of the island tempts the diver to scout sturdy fringing, barrier reefs that come alive with vibrant colours and stimulate the diver with breathtaking views. These underwater cliffs are characterised by an unrestrained abundance of exotic aquatic life. The southern side of the reefs lie closer to the shore and edging reefs that are less than a quarter mile away from land. The breathtaking panorama that awaits one in the southern side is more delicatethan the offshore reefs towards the northern side of the island.
30 miles fantastic impetus canyon configurations, coral gardens, ledges, projections and perpendicular crevices comprise both the coasts. There are large stretches of reefs yet left to be explored. Spectacular marine life here consists of black crinoids, bright blue vase sponges, pillar corals, deep-water lace, black coral, hawksbill turtles and many more. For wreck-diving enthusiasts, a number of wrecks have been documented all over the area. Typical diving sites in Roatan are Mary's Place, Prince Albert Wreck, Doc's Dive, West End Wall, The Enchanted Forest, Eel Garden, Herbie's Fantasy, Lighthouse Reef, Hole in the Wall, Pillar Coral Point, Peter's Place and Bear's Den.
Mary's Place
Mary's Place is one of the best diving sites in Roatan's reefs. Mary's reef was born out of a volcanic activity and it looks like a thumblike protrusion.Mary's Place

West End Wall
As the name implies, West End Wall is situated off the western tip of Roatan. It comprises of two frequented dive sites, of which one is shallower than the other, highlighting two segregate zones of reef. Eel Garden
