Passengers in queue to board the Utila Princess

In the yearly calendar of the Bay islands Semana Santa is the busiest time of the year. Roatan and Guanaja hotels were totally booked by March 17th and stayed booked for the entire Semana Santa week. Several thousand residents of the island along with their families on the coast went back home while tourists thronged the islands filling up the hotels and rental houses. On the 18th of March the archipelago was visited by the northern cold weather for two days. Due to this weather, two of the propellers of the Utila Princess was damaged causing the one hour and twenty minutes trip to Utila lengthen to two and a half hours. Roatan's passenger ferry added five days with three trips a day instead of its usual twice trips daily routine.
